Army of Two dated for November 15 in NA and Europe

AO2 Those of you itching to do some crotch level hoisting with your bestest buds can mark off November 15th on your calendar, as EA has just confirmed the highly anticipated multiplatform co-op infused Army of Two's release date.

Forza Motorsport 2 Gets First Patch Today; DLC Starting in August

The first downloadable update to Forza Motorsport 2 will be available today. Today's update will address the following:
- Deny gifting and reselling of cars with locked paintjobs.
- A temporary ban on the Lotus Elan use on scoreboards and in multiplayer.
- Allow cars to be fully rotated while being viewed in the Auction House.
- A number of scoreboard problems have been fixed.
- Removed host's ability to boot players during a race.
- Auction House bugs fixed (bugs could potentially cause players to lose credits or cars)
- Triple-screen bug fix for sync'ing issues
- Quickmatch bug addressed (always connected player to the same game upon attempt).

Shadowrun patch details released

ShadowrunOver at the Shadowrun Forums some details were released regarding the patch which will be patching up Shadowrun hopefully this week.

13) Implemented improvements to matchmaking. We expect a 200-300% improvement in wait times.
14) Improved sync times. When a new player joins a game, the synching wait will be reduced.
15) Made changes to improve party system. Parties should be split less now.
16) You may now use the artifact to clear bodies in Attrition.
17) Fixed some potential exploit issues. No, we’re not going to elaborate on this.- General
20) Fixed a problem with the Unstoppable achievement. And there was much rejoicing.
22) Players won’t get kicked for inactivity if they’re still in the lobby when the game starts.
23) You should be less likely to cycle to a small version of a map if you have a lot of players.
25) You should get clearer feedback when attempting to join a full game via the guide.
26) Changed some of the achievement descriptions to make goals clearer.
27) Dwarf hint text is now correct. (They CAN be unawared - just not headshotted.)

Wing Commander Arena Available From Xbox Live Arcade This Week

Prepare for 16-player space dogfighting on XBLA this week. Wing Commander Arena will be EA's second release on the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade. The game is set to be released on July 25th for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Wing Commander Arena features include:
- The first 16-player game on Xbox Live Arcade
- Form your squad then hunt down and destroy enemy armadas
- Four game modes: single player, plus multiplayer Team, Free for All, and Duel
- Eight game maps set in the outer reaches of space
- Track your progress as you climb single- and multiplayer leaderboards
- Blast away and earn new Xbox Live achievements (up to 200 points)

Silicon Knights suing Epic

Details are somewhat scarce at the moment, but GameDaily BIZ has learned that Too Human developer Silicon Knights is suing Epic Games, creators of the blockbuster Gears of War and licensors of Unreal Engine. Epic's Mark Rein is not pleased... [Update: Denis Dyack says Unreal Engine "inadequate" and causing "serious damage" to industry]

Rockstar Bullies 360, Wii

BullyTake-Two today announced that Bully will be making its way to the Xbox 360 and the Wii, as Bully: Scholarship Edition is set for release this winter. Developed by Rockstar Games, the Scholarship Edition will introduce new content to the original release of Bully, though Take-Two did not say how much new content or what it would consist of.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Public Beta Begins in August for Xbox 360

Xbox 360 gamers will be the first to get their hands on Call of Duty 4 with the upcoming Public Beta, exclusively on the 360. The Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Public Beta is set to begin in August 2007. The exact date has not been announced. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PCs later this year.

Peter Moore Resigns From Microsoft

Peter MooreThis just in. Peter is returning to the Bay Area to be with his family, and he’ll join EA as President of their sports division.

More details on the official media alert.

 

Peter Moore was head of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business division. He was always the man at E3 with the tattoos. 

 

Apparently Peter Moore is getting a  $1.5 million bonus,and a $550,000 salary working for EA. Not bad.
