Talking to Reuters, head of Konami's North American and European operations Kazumi Kitaue expressed their less than optimistic feelings about the PS3 "Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps".

Konami announces new DDR, removes arrows
BREAKING NEWS. Konami just sent a press release for a brand ... new ... Dance Dance Revolution game. Again. Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 for Xbox 360 will be "the best-looking DDR game to date." In addition to the now-standard Xbox Live support and Quest Mode, the biggest addition to Universe 2 is Freestyle Mode. This new mode has all the dance-dancing of DDR, with none of the arrows, allowing players to mindlessly stomp on their pads. Konami says it's "perfect for kids or anyone with two left feet." In short, it's made for people that should have never played DDR in the first place.
In a first for the franchise, the upcoming Xbox 360 racer will allow players to use both cars and bikes in the same race. Bizarre Creations is promising the same level of visual fidelity in the bikes as in the cars -- looking at the new screenshots released today, we're also equally impressed by the racer character models. In a press release issued tonight, Sony has confirmed that the 60GB PlayStation 3 has received a $100 dollar price drop, making for a retail price of $499 and is effective as of now. Taking its place at the $599 dollar price point is a new (to America anyway) 80GB model. The new model, however, will not be available in stores until this August, though no specific date was mentioned. The 80GB model will also come packed with the off-road racer, Motorstorm.
So who is buying a PS3 after the price drop? I also hear rumors that microsoft will annouce a 50-70 dollar price cut for all of their models sometime this week.
The newest issue of OXM has a short video documentary on it's demo disc. While it's only a few minutes in length I think it possibly the most detailed look at UT3 to date. Within the video there are many maps shown. As far as one can tell, it showed mostly all CTF and DM maps. Some maps are shown with vehicles, but I saw no nodes to distinguish them as Warfare maps. One particular interesting map shown looks like the new Deck DM map. While I can't confirm it as Deck, it had the signature pool of toxic sludge at the bottom of the map. The other maps shown had a wide variety of different themes and they all looked fantastic.
A feature story in the latest Official Xbox Magazine has revealed some new details about Epic Games' upcoming Unreal Tournament 3 as well as some hype-tacular words by lead designer Steven Polge. Additions to the game include:
Four-player co-op and two-player split-screen in the single-player campaign
18 vehicles and five types of turrets
Hoverboards
Polge also made a few claims sure to be cited in any brouhaha concerning the shooter. Referencing the Great Keyboard & Mouse vs. Controller Debate, the designer claimed that UT3's controls are so good that half of the staff prefer the Xbox 360 version.
